AC implements TUC-funded Typhoon Relief Project III
Aldersgate College (AC), Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, implemented the Baguio Typhoon Relief Project funded by Tokyo Union Church (TUC), Tokyo, Japan, in Puguis Elementary School, La Trinidad, Benguet, on February 11-13, 2010.
Four hundred (400) victims of typhoon Pepeng in Benguet were identified beneficiaries of the project after the visit to the “Tent City” of the thirty-two (32) evacuee-families who were relocated at the Benguet State University. They received relief goods composed of blankets, towels, sacks of rice and groceries.
The project implementation was conducted by Aldersgate College led by Dr. Junifen F. Gauuan (College President), Marlene C. Cadang (Project Financial Manager), and Carmencita G. Mendoza (Project Coordinator).
Volunteer leaders namely Puguis Elementary SchoolAssist. Principal Ofelia Dolo,Brgy Captain Evelyn Ramos, Site Coordinator Marlene Cabor and elementary teachers, as the support staff of Aldersgate College delivered dependable and operative support to the project activities.
Those who participated in relief distribution included AC President Junifen F. Gauuan, Municipal Councilor Romeo Salda (Mayor’s Representative), Barangay Councilor Romeo Ramos, Puguis Elementary School Principal Dr. Ambrocio Atew and MSWD Office Cristina Anioay. #
