LOVE SPELLED OUT .Teachers were confined in a dark room to receive their students message to them on the celebration of the World’s Teachers’ Day. Cup cakes with lighted candles on top conveyed the students gratefulness to their teacher.
To pay tribute for their teachers’ sacrifices and hardships, the Student Supreme Government (SSG) graced the celebration of World’s Teachers’ Day held at the AC quadrangle, October 5, 2012.
Christian Hector Misanes, SSG President, led the studentry in the short program given for teachers. The giving of tokens and gifts by the students highlighted the celebration. Like last year’s commemoration, the presidents of the different classes extended their gratitude to their teachers for mentoring them.
The program ended by a response coming from the adviser of the IV-Babbage, Ms. Abigail Quirit.
“Paying back to our teachers doesn’t necessarily mean giving them gifts materially. Listening attentively to the discussions, behaving during classes and understanding the lessons are abstract things which are more meaningful to them.” Says Kathleen Pojas, a third year student.
