ACians bare love for native tongue

“Ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ,ay higit pa ang amoy sa malansang isda” the old and famous cliché from Dr. Jose Rizal was recalled by the guest speaker, Mr. Aurelio Polonio, the newly appointed PIO of the school, when he delivered his message during the joint celebration of the elementary and high school  Buwan ng Wika last September 13.
He emphasized in his speech the importance of using the Filipino  as a mono-lingual  language by nor mixing it with any other dialect and language when spoken  in order not to  distract its meaning.
He expounded this thought  using the theme,  “Sa pangangalaga ng Wika at kalikasan, Wagas na Pagmamahal Talagang Kailangan”.
Highlighting the affair are patriotic presentations from  the  Elementary and High School departments showing love for the native tongue.
The Grade one pupils had a choral recitation of the   poem entitled  Linggo ng Wika , the grade two  versified in chorus their song Pilipinas kong Mahal,  the grade three however, sang Florante’s famous song,  Ako’y Isang Pinoy,  the  grade four delighted the audience with their  balagtasan entitled, “Alin Nga Ba ang Mas Madaling Gamitin, Ang Wikang Atin o ang Wikang Banyaga?” The  grade five & six  exposed their dance prowess in an ethnic and folk dance, respectively.
The H.S students   dance their way out to the quadrangle; the first year  displayed their modern mix ethnic dance, the second year swayed their folk dance, the fourth year  exhibited a cultural dance while the  third year showed off their acting talent in a skit enthemed “Pagmamahal sa Sariling Wika” Love for one’s language.
The celebration was spearheaded by the Filipino Club of the high school under the supervisory of Mrs. Gloria Afalla, the adviser, and  Filipino Teacher, Mrs. Teresita Zarate in collaboration with the elementary Filipino  Club adviser Mrs. Fenny Jose and other teachers. #rizelnren
