AC Exec celebrates 53rd birthday

What it takes to be the galactic president was the theme of the 53rd birthday celebration of Dr. Junifen F. Gauuan at the EZE Rooftop last June 24.

The theme describes the lofty and universal trance of the president for Aldersgate College, the institution he has been uplifting since he came to the picture.

As usual a thanksgiving service commenced the affair with the school chaplain, Rev. Mark Anthony Dela Peña as the celebrating pastor.

The heavy downpouring of rain did not hinder the celebration. During the program proper, various departments depicted the president as a noble educator, rightful disciplinarian, pro-active economist and IT expert, salutary doctor, competent engineer and architect, persistent researcher, pioneering scientist and a loving father. The dancing prowess of the president was tested when he was compelled by students to take the center stage for a dance with them.

Offering of gifts and flowers to the president including employees whose birthday falls on the same month was a part of the tributes.

Even in his thank you message Dr. Gauuan never fails to encourage everyone to take part in realizing the mission and vision of Aldersgate College.

A lunch graced by the Board of Trustees, Administration, faculty and staff of AC and the United Methodist Church workers ended the celebration. #
