Social Graces and Good Grooming Awareness

To develop and enhance the awareness of  the second year engineering  and  tec-voc students  in the various aspects  of  Etiquette and Grooming,  a seminar on Social Graces and Good Grooming was conducted on August 21, 2010  at the CET building. Engr. Josephine P. Jasmin, the resource speaker emphasized that personal hygiene is the first step to good grooming and good health, that  being well-groomed helps build self-confidence and makes the person feel proud of himself knowing that others appreciate his ways and appearance.  She also stressed that etiquette is not only about forms, manners, and ceremonies established by convention as acceptable or required by society but it is also the ability to reason and do the right thing at the right time. The activity was jointly sponsored by the 2nd Class Year Organization and the AC Future Industrialists (ACFI).
