Aldersgate Christian Child Center
What is ACCC?
In 2004 , Aldersgate Christian Child Center was created by the Integrated Child Development Center of Aldersgate College in partnership with ChildFund Japan. The Center works with 200 Sponsored Families and Sponsored Children in three remote rural villages of Quezon Nueva, Vizcaya.
Considering the 200 children as the heart of the program, ACCC utilizes a holistic approach that addresses the children’s intellectual, physical, psycho-social/emotional and spiritual needs by also simultaneously considering the development issues involving the children’s families and their community.
Child Development
The Center aims for the full development of the child’s physical, spiritual, social and intellectual potentials by providing formal and non-formal educational assistance to children and youth, value formation, social skills, arts and sports and assisting the youth in their advocacy as child rights Advocates
Family Development
It seeks to build, enhance and strengthen the parents’ capacities to assume the basic responsibilities for the survival, protection, participation and development of all the members of the family through health programs, livelihood and skills training and responsible parenthood formation programs.
Institution building
It builds and strengthens community-based sustainable structures with proven capabilities to respond to the needs and issues of children alongside community problems by establishing people’s organizations; and building partnerships with the Barangay Local Governments.
