Oath taking of the 3rd AC President

October ushered in a new era for Aldersgate College as Rev. Dr. Micah Ryan Bernardo Ramel took his oath of office as the third President on October 1, 2022, at the Women’s Training Center in Aurora, Quezon. The ceremonies began with a thanksgiving service where Rev. Dr. Ramel received anointing from the UMC Leaders through Rev. Dr. Pedro M. Torio, Jr., the Resident Bishop of the Baguio Episcopal Area, symbolizing his profound and absolute surrender to God’s call to lead Aldersgate College. Dr. Willie A. Damasco then administered the oath as the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Aldersgate College. Dr. Prescilla Esperanza A. Soriano, the Immediate Past President of the College, was also present to turn over leadership to her successor. In attendance during the oath-taking and turn-over ceremonies were Rev. Dr. Ramel’s family, the other members of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee (EXECOM) of Aldersgate College, and the junior administrators, faculty, and staff. An investiture ceremony is slated to follow in December of this year.

British Council Holds UK Partnership Forum

With the aim of exploring potential partnerships and linkages with institutions in the United Kingdom (UK), the British Council brought together colleges and universities from the UK and local higher education institutions in a UK Partnership Forum last March 5, 2011 in Manila.

The British Council is the UK’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations in the Philippines. It is responsible for building engagement and trust for the UK through the exchange of knowledge and ideas between people worldwide. (www.britishcouncil.org)

A long-time partner of Aldersgate College,  CyberCity Teleservices comes to The United Methodist Church of  Bayombong,  Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on March 10-11, 2011 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to accept applications for those interested to become Call Center Agents.  Fresh graduates and interested parties are enjoined to submit their resumes on the scheduled days.

This Job Fair is  being conducted on the occasion of the  26th Session of the Northeast Philippines Annual Conference of  The United Methodist Church,  presided by Bishop Rodolfo A. Juan, Resident Bishop of the Baguio Episcopal Area.

SMS Nursing Lecturer wins 2011 Most Outstanding Health Nurse Award

Leticia B. Puguon, Ph.D.

Leticia B. Puguon, Ph.D.,  a  nursing lecturer of the School of Medical Sciences of Aldersgate College has once again added feather to her cap of achievements as she wins the 2011 Most Outstanding Community Health Nurse Award from the National League of Philippine Government Nurses, Inc.

A Public Health Nurse with 30 years experience working with  the Provincial Health Office of  Nueva Vizcaya, she is currently  Governor of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) – Cagayan Valley Chapter.

She was given the award for her outstanding dedication and commitment to public service in the practice of her nursing profession. According to her, her most important accomplishment as nurse comes from bringing services to upland areas where the poorest of the poor villagers need health services most.

After earning her Nursing license in 1977, Leticia B. Puguon served as a community nurse at  Barangay Imugan in the town of  Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya through the Kalahan Educational Foundation(KEF).  She also served at Barangay Ammueg in town of Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya as well as in numerous medical missions for  indigenous tribes within the territory of the Bugkalot Tribes  in New Gumiad, Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.

Leticia B. Puguon, Ph.D is truly an inspiration to our Nursing students as she advocates passion for work and devotion to underserved peoples and communities.
