Graduates of the School of Informatics in both the 4-year degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and the 2-year Associate in Computer Technology (ACT), are now gainfully employed in private and government agencies and corporations in capacities related to their training at Aldersgate College.

Grounded in our commitment to quality education, we offer our students a rich educational experience where research is an integral part, coupled with a diverse range of curricular and co-curricular activities that equip our students the necessary expertise, critical thinking skills, and competencies.

Our curriculum incorporates theories with hands-on training where the students are given the opportunity to gain information of international standards and learn the skills necessary for a competitive performance in the IT industry. Students undergo hands-on experiences through the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment with the guidance of the School’s qualified, skilled, committed, and capable faculty.

The quality of our students’ preparation is manifested in our students’ performance in the National Certification Test conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Curricular Strategy

In School year 2010-11, the School of Informatics was spinned-off from the College of Business and Information Technology to integrate the teaching of ICT with the research and development programs and resources of Aldersgate Computer Institute (ACI). This integration   requires that all faculty members be actively involved in ICT research and development.
