Firing up the AC ground with their gritty display of Stunts, Steps and Smiles, the Stallions secured the glamour of the judges via unanimous decision and hooked the cheerdance dance crown during the AC Intrams.
After five years of nailing the cheer dance title to the name of the sophomores, the Wild Stallions finally broke the ice cold monotony to bring home this year’s cheer dance crown, during the opening program of the Aldersgate College Intramurals held last October 11 at the AC Quadrangle.
The simple costumes and props of the fourth year performers were overshadowed by their intricate but synchronized choreography, overflowing charm and energy that made the AC ground burning as they carried out their presentation.
The Hounds in glaring green costume and neo-inspired hair makeover, after having showed off their routines with high energy and sturdy stunts, placed second. The Hawks, notching 3rd place, proved that they are not left out in the said battle, with a bright pomelo get-up, displaying a character that blew away the Zebras who landed 4th.
Highlighting the three-day event with a display of gymnastic skills, creativity and talents of the students, the cheer dance competition is one of the most awaited activities of the Intramurals in which a variety of choreography, routines, stunts and costumes are shown.
“The innate dancing skills of the fourth year students, who happened to be members of the Bungkos Sining, made them bring home the bacon.” said Fernando B. Pili Jr., trainer of the Wild Stallions cheering squad.
“Like gems, the stallions have been shaped up and kept brilliant by their dance trainings in the early years.” he added. #AndellJan24/Mjjt
